RCC Coronavirus Updates

The impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is widening continuously. RCC is now closed through June 10 by order of Governor Ralph Northam and Fairfax County Government. RCC buildings, programs, and services  – including classes, trips, drop-in activities, RCC Rides, rentals and facility access – are closed or canceled through June 10. During this period, RCC will offer options for people to enjoy on our RCC YouTube channel that will feature greetings from artists who were scheduled to perform, as well as ways to stay fit and creative while at home from RCC instructors. RCC will look for opportunities to support our patrons and community while maintaining social distancing and keeping people away from gatherings of 10 or more people. RCC Summer Concert Series events are canceled through June 10 – we are working with our partners to reschedule or resume the concerts depending on guidance from the Governor and Fairfax County Government.

Our Summer Program Guide will not be mailed until the end of May. Registration will not occur until after RCC facilities reopen to the public. Summer camp offerings may be affected by the pandemic, or by FCPS planning. RCC hopes to know how summer camps will be impacted by mid to late-April. All summer camp patrons will be notified as soon as RCC knows more about the FCPS summer calendar.

Patrons will receive refunds for canceled offerings; we ask that patrons exercise patience as this process will take a significant amount of time. Patrons do not need to present a refund request form or email to RCCContact@fairfaxcounty.gov; RCC will process refunds in full in chronological order through the entirety of the spring cycle of programming. Patrons may receive calls from RCC staff to obtain credit card information. Refunds for online purchases will be made to the credit card used for payment. If no credit card information is available, checks from Fairfax County Government will be sent to the address of record; check processing takes 4-6 weeks. We appreciate your patience. Refunds will be made for all purchases (programs, rentals, tickets) for offerings through June 10.
